His character in Oceans Eleven, Rusty Ryan, restored Brad’s career. Then in 2004, Brad took the lead role in Troy, portraying Achilles, for which he received the Teen Choice Award and a nomination for MTV’s Best Male Performance award, the worldwide box office totals from ‘Troy’ amounted to nearly 0 million. An extraordinary sum for Brad Pitt as this became his highest grossing film ever.

Two Brad Pitt Films that failed to garner any awards or nominations since 2004 were, ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’. The latest Brad Pitt film to receive a nomination is ‘The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button’, where Brad received a total of 5 nominations for Best Actor and Outstanding Performance by a Male actor from the Screen Actors Guild, the Academy Awards, BAFTA and the Golden Globes.

Future Brad Pitt films are ‘The Tree of Life’ and ‘Inglourious Basterds’ both scheduled for 2009 release. ‘Inglourious Basterds’, a Quentin Tarantino film, is based on an earlier movie and has an epic World War II theme. The film has wrapped up after shooting on location in Germany and France and the producers expect to premier it at the Cannes Film Festival.
