Iron Eagle 2: Comparably idiotic sequel, with General Gossett enlisting guide Humphrey to team with his Soviet counterparts on a secret mission in the Mideast. Cast includes Louis Gossett, Jr., Mark Humphrey, Stuart Margolin, Alan Scarfe, Sharon H. Brandon, and Maury Chaykin.  (105 minutes, 1988)

A Nightmare on Elm Street the Dream Child: Fifth iin the Freddy Crugar series with everyone with the exception of Englund just going through the paces. Here, scarred, dreamhaunting Freddy Krueger (Englund) uses the unborn child of Wilcox to strike at her buddies. As typical, visual effects are a highlight however don’t spare the film from being a bore. Cast includes Englund, Lisa Wilcox, Kelly Jo Minter, Erika Anderson, Whitby Hertford, and Danny Hassel.  (89 minutes, 1989)

R.P.M.: Old styled lenient Quinn gets to be head of university, and then approves a patrol bust of liberals to spare establishment. Inept Erich Segal script, comparably poor Kramer direction gives the film a certain camp value. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, Ann-Margret, Gary Lockwood, Paul Winfield, Graham Jarvis, and Alan Hewitt.  (97 minutes, 1970)

Repulsion: Polanski’s first English-language film is phenomenal mental shocker portraying psychological deterioration of sexually repressed gal left alone in her sibling’s condo for few nights. Hasn’t lost a tad of its impact; can leave you anxious for nights later on. Cast includes Catherine Deneuve, Ian Hendry, John Fraser, Patrick Wymark, Yvonne Fumeaux, and James Villiers. (105 minutes, 1965)

Thieves: Hard postwar drama about a returning vet looking for revenge from his trucker dad’s punishment at the hands of a crooked fruit trader in San Francisco.  Cast includes Richard Conte, Valentina Cortese, Lee J. Cobb, Barbara Lawrence, Jack Oakie, Millard Mitchell, and Joseph Pevney. (94 minutes, 1996)

Jurassic Park III: Amusing popcorn film that takes a recipe and plays it for all it’s worth as professor-paleontologist Neill is convinced to lead an expedition to the prohibited island where dinosaurs wander, however obviously he hasn’t been informed of the realities. The movie is full of scares, and lots of fun proving that a thriller kind doesn’t have to be dumb. Cast includes Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni, Alessandro Nivola, Trevor Morgan, Michael Jeter, John Diehl, and Bruce A. Young.  (93 minutes, 2001)

The Singer Not The Song: Unconventional, slothful yam set in Mexico engaging clash of Catholic minister and local bandit to command the town, with Demongeot in love with the clergyman. Cast includes Dirk Bogarde, John Factories, Mylene Demongeot, and Eric Pohlmann. (129 minutes, 1961)

A Bullet for Sandoval: Ex-Confederate Hilton plots reprisal on don Borgnine, the grand daddy of Hilton’s child, for indirectly causing the toddler to die. Cast includes Ernest Borgnine, George Hilton, Alberto De Mendoza, and Gustavo Rojo. (91 minutes, 1970)

Irreconcilable Differences: A bittersweet comedy of a young couple that wed and found success till prosperity in Hollywood causes them to lose sense of what’s seriously vital in their lives. The outcome is that their 10 year old baby girl sues them for divorce! Cast includes Ryan O’Neal, Shelley Long, Drew Barrymore, Sam Wanamaker, Allen Garfield, Sharon Stone, and David Paymer.  (117 minutes, 1984)
