One piece of advice is to always be friendly and open. The reason being is that it will take you farther and you never know who you interact with. The person you talk to may look like a run-of-the-mill crew person, but in actuality is the lead casting director.

Be sure to stay social so that you get the butterflies out. Meditating and breathing will help you to relax and ace the audition.

Truth be told that if you are one of the last people in line at the commercial audition, you may not have a chance to get to see the casting directors. Adding on top of that, if you have a bad attitude, then it can ruin your chances. It’ll help your chances if you dress professional and act with the right attitude.

In an open audition, you’ll need to introduce yourself. Smile and do so gracefully. In the industry, it’s called a slate when you tell them your name and what agency represents you.
